No
doubt the U4 nowadays belongs to the highest performing gliders on the
paraglider`s market. The glider was tested in a shock and load test up
to 8g with 130kg. Right now the glider provides of a sophisticated
riser system which assures a stable accelerated flight at a very low
sink rate!
The
rigg system on every single brake line assures a nice and smooth
handling. Furthermore it is part of the minimum line concept
without trading in its advanteous flying characteristics.
The Race
lines are reenforced at the bottom and middle lines in order to be able
to use the thinest lines possible. In comparison to the former model U3
the U4 has a higher number of cells and 13 instead of 12 supported
profiles.
The high arch system enhances the good turning
characteristics for such a high aspect ratio, but also gives the glider
its stability. Since the nose of the glider provides of the Gin
patented Rigid Foil it is very easy to launch and less
susceptible to interferences in flight. These charachteristics
guarantee a long lasting high performance. Just like on the U3 the
genious invention of nylon reenforcements for a better distribution of
forces along the chorde has been implemented.
